To scan a QR code from a screenshot or saved image, open ScanQR.org in Chrome and upload the image — it reads the QR code without any additional app.
The fastest method on desktop: take your screenshot, then press Ctrl+V (Windows) or ⌘+V (Mac) on the ScanQR.org page to paste it directly — no file saving needed.
- Upload: drag and drop a saved QR image, or press Ctrl+V to paste a screenshot.
- Webcam: click the Webcam tab and then Start Camera to use your built-in or external webcam to scan a physical QR code in real time.
- Blurry or low-resolution image — try a sharper photo or zoom in before screenshotting.
- Partial code visible — the entire QR code must be in the image, including the white border (quiet zone).
- Damaged or heavily styled QR code — QR codes with logos or artistic styling sometimes lose too much error correction data to be readable.
- Screen glare on webcam — when using the webcam to scan a screen, tilt the device to reduce reflections or upload a screenshot instead.

localStorage — it never leaves your device either.
